VS Energy is Providing More Than UAH 68 Million in Charitable Support for the Defence of the State

Since the start of the Russian invasion, the VS Energy conglomerate, the holding company that owns Khersonoblenergo, Zhytomyroblenergo, Kirovohradoblenergo, Chernihivoblenergo and Rivneoblenergo, has provided over UAH 68 million

to support the armed forces of Ukraine, territorial communities, military administrations and voluntary organizations. This data was released as at October 1 by the conglomerate's press department. The amount of help is increasing on a daily basis.

"Only by standing together, step by step, can we defeat this barbaric enemy. VS Energy Group has helped and will continue to help Ukraine and Ukrainians from the first day of the war until the terrorist state is totally defeated. We will continue to restore the supply of electricity is occupied territories and those razed by missiles, we will help the authorities and military forces on the ground, as well as meeting all the needs of our mobilized employees and their families," asserts Vilis Dambiņš, one of VS Energy Group's shareholders.

Since the start of the war, Zhytomyroblenergo has transferred more than UAH 23.5 million to provide assistance to Ukraine. These funds have not only been allocated to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces and to aid protection against the terrorists, but also to buy three Leleka-100 unmanned aerial vehicle systems for Ukrainian Armed Forces' military units, as well as 38 weapon machine tool benches.

Since the start of the full-blown aggression, Rivneoblenergo has allocated more than UAH 13.7 million to meet the army's requirements. To this end, following a request from Ukraine's State Emergency Service in the Rivne Oblast, the energy company bought 165 m of power cable for rescue operations and handed over armour to the armed forces.

Since the start of the war, Chernihivoblenergo has donated more than UAH 14.55 million to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and Kirovogradoblenergo has donated more than UAH 11.5 million to help meet the requirements of the army and the territorial community.

Parallel to this, VS Energy is allocating considerable funds to restore infrastructure in liberated and war-ravaged territories, and to supply power to military facilities. Right now, Khersonoblenergo finds itself in the most difficult predicament, because its property and assets have been partly stolen by the occupiers, while its equipment and electricity grids were destroyed by Russian shelling.

Meanwhile, 95 motor vehicles and motorcycle units have been delivered to Ukraine's armed forces and military administrations. Vilis Dambiņš has personally delivered 5 SUVs, three Autel Evo 11 quadcopters, as well as ambulances in which to transport injured persons. To date, the personal assistance provided by this shareholder of VS Energy Latvia is equivalent to EUR 86,000.

"I am confident that Ukraine will prevail. Accordingly, everyone at the company is striving to accelerate the road to victory by all available means," explains Dambiņš.

VS Energy International Ukraine oversees five energy distribution companies – distribution system operators – under a unified management system. More than 11,000 employees work for the companies under the conglomerate's management.

Since 2014, VS Energy International Ukraine's shareholders are European Union citizens Valts Vīgants (Latvia), Vilis Dambiņš (Latvia), Artūrs Altbergs (Latvia), Oļegs Sizermans (Germany) and Marina Jaroslavska (Germany).

The company's shareholders and management have made a statement, condemning Russia's aggression and declaring their intention to continue to support Ukraine's statehood, sovereignty and the democratic development of its society and economy.
