"As soon as they have been liberated, we are immediately restoring electricity to all populated areas in the Kherson Oblast after receiving permission from the armed forces, which we are required to do.
Next in line is our Kherson!" said Khersonoblenergo Chairman of the Board Ihor Safronov.
A lot of populated areas in the Kherson Oblast have been deprived of electricity for a long time due to the shooting, destruction and looting by the Russian occupiers. The region's infrastructure has suffered major damage.
"It will take a lot of work to restore the electricity supply in the territories of the Kherson Oblast liberated by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The situation in regarding electricity supply in Kherson is extremely challenging. However, we are ready to begin the process of restoring the city's electricity grids as soon as the Ukrainian troops are officially allowed to enter the city," commented Ihor Safronov.
For several months now, in the face of difficult conditions of warfare, power engineers from Kirovohradoblenergo, Chernihivoblenergo, Zhytomyroblenergo and Rivneoblenergo have worked side by side with experts from Khersonoblenergo to restore the supply of electricity to the region.
"Khersonoblenergo's management and team will gratefully accept help from colleagues of Ukrainian and international energy companies, who are ready to take part in the restoration of the Kherson Oblast not only in words, but also in deeds," affirmed Ihor Safronov.
